Wedding Website for a Multi-Event South Asian Wedding: A Guide

South Asian weddings often last several days, and every event has its own time, place and dress code. A website keeps all of it in one place.

List every event separately

Give each event a card: Mehndi, Haldi, Sangeet, Baraat and Pheras, Reception. Include the date, start and end time, venue, map link and a short note. Guests should never need to scroll back and forth to work out what happens when.

Say what to wear

Dress codes are the most-asked question. Be specific and friendly:

  • Mehndi: bright greens and yellows
  • Haldi: yellow or white, something you don’t mind staining
  • Sangeet: glam Indo-western or lehenga
  • Baraat and Pheras: traditional formal
  • Reception: black tie or formal Indian

Let guests reply per event

Not everyone is invited to every event. A form that lets guests tick the events they will attend gives you accurate numbers for each celebration.

Help guests with logistics

Add airport pickups, hotel blocks and timings for the procession. Remind guests when to arrive, because "Indian time" is a joke until the baraat is late.

Handle gifts and shagun gracefully

A short, warm note about gifts or contributions is enough. Keep it kind and optional.

Try a design built for it

The South Asian Multi-Event template and the Nikkah & Walima template include per-event cards, dress codes, per-event RSVP and a Bismillah or Hijri date option.
